ADOKE URGES COURT TO HINDER EXECUTION OF HIS ARREST OVER $2.1BN MALABU OIL SCAM
Former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Mohammed Adoke (SAN), has pleaded with the Federal High Court in Jabi, Abuja to refrain the police and the Department of States Services from enforcing the fresh April 19 warrant of arrest issued against him.
The plea was conveyed in an ex parte application filed on June 19 by Adoke’s lawyer, Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN), on his behalf.
The hearing of the application has already been scheduled to take place on Monday July 1 before Justice Danladi Senchi, who had earlier issued an arrest warrant on Adoke and five other suspects over an alleged $2.1 billion Malabu Oil scam.
Senchi gave this order following an ex parte application filed by the prosecuting agency, the Economic and Financial Crime Commission.
