The Nigeria Liquefied Petroleum Gas Association (NLPGA) is trying to rebuild image in order to restore confidence in its global body – World LPGA, the government and the public.
This ensued following the failure of its planned fifth African LPG Summit 2018 which could not hold due to alleged misappropriation of fund budgeted for the event.
After the success of the first and the second summits held in Nairobi, Kenya in 2014 and 2015, Tanzania had hosted third in 2016. After South Africa organized the fourth one in Johannesburg last year, Nigeria was to host the fifth in Lagos on June 19th and 20th, but did not materialize.
The stakeholders have noted that they are in a serious integrity battle to redeem their image. This came up after discussing the issue in a fact-finding stakeholders’ meeting.
